VeriWave was purchased by Ixia.I was the lead developer for the WaveDevice applications. Golden AP WaveDevice provides a simulated and highly configurable access point to test client devices in the design, development, and QA test phases of the client device lifecycle. Interoperability WaveDevice provides the infrastructure to use a real access point with the client device to provide system test capability.I was the lead application developer for the WaveAnalyze application. This application manages and display datas from the 802.11ac 4x4 MIMO Wi-Fi signal analyzer. This is a Qt C++ application using a custom built chart display. The application provides a timeline view of the last two minutes of acquisition and allows for fast scrubbing across the timeline.My first project after acquisition was to integrate the VeriWave licensing system with FlexNet embedded and hooked into the FlexNet On Demand back end which the rest of Ixia was bringing up and integrating into various other Ixia business systems.

Lead designer and developer for the Qt C++ WaveDeploy Wi-Fi assessment application. Provided heat maps for RSSI, co-channel interface, forwarding rate, good put, jitter, loss, voice MOS, and video MDI. The testing and data collection was done by leveraging the existing WaveAgents. GUI wrapper applications were written for WaveAgent's on several platforms to make them easier to run.Lead developer for the WaveTest application API and TGA (traffic generation and analysis) Linux firmware. The Linux firmware was initially on PPC processors with a custom user space. Later generations used Cavium Octeon processors and had used the Octeon SDK to build the user space. The firmware includes several daemons responsible for system management and configuration written in C, C++, and Python. The WaveTest application API was written in C++ and also had Python and TCL bindings.Developed the WaveAgent broker daemon which provides management of remote WaveAgents on the TGA ports. WaveAgents are small traffic generator applications available on a large number of platforms. I was specifically responsible for implementing the WaveAgent for Android.Developed the L7 application daemon which provides layer 7 flow management. This daemon provided HTTP, FTP, and generic TCP data flow setup and then hand-off to hardware TCP flow generators for line-rate data flows.Rebuilt the build system in bash that is still in use today running 50 builds per day across several development teams and build servers.

Best Software acquired the rights to the Sage name in North America and renamed itself after the parent company to become Sage Software.

Timberline Software became a division of Best Software.

Worked as lead developer for core components group. There were over sixty applications built on the core technology developed and maintained by our group. At one count, we were responsible for one million of the five million lines of code at Timberline. The core was composed of two generations of database access (Btrieve and SQL Server) with a generic data migration tool which provided seamless customer upgrades; three generations of UI frameworks (console forms, MFC, Windows Forms); two report generation frameworks (one with a custom report designer and Crystal Reports), and a handful of shared feature components such as contacts management and email functionality.

Developed software in C and assembly for industrial process NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) instrumentation as well as custom application development in C, C++, and Visual Basic. The system had one general purpose processor and five embedded processors for instrumentation control.One custom application required implementing a CPMG data acquisition routine on the embedded control processor and custom FPGA timer processor unit to provide precise control of sequenced pulse/acquire cycles. Additional secondary responsibilities included hardware and software field servicing and hardware design and testing.
