As the Graduate Program Manager for the Department of Chemistry, I Oversee the academic progression of graduate students from recruitment to commencement. I partner with students to make sure they are maintaining an acceptable GPA and making progress toward completing their Ph.D. research. I organize and lead the departments large-scale graduate student recruitment events; including arranging travel, transportation, lodging, and meals for prospective graduate students. I plan our yearly departmental commencement and recognition ceremony for undergraduate and graduate students. To assist the department with their educational outreach and student engagement I organize and facilitate departmental seminars.

•Takes possession of non-injury casualty claims which includes conducting investigations, analyzing cause of accident, and determining fault.•Explains coverage of loss and coordinates customer repairs with third-party vendors. •Applies state specific Department of Insurance and Department of Transportation rules, regulations, and laws. •Builds knowledge of: personal lines material/physical damage claims; court decisions which may impact the claims function; current guidelines in the claims function; and policy changes and modifications.•Partners with Special Investigations Unit and Subrogation to identify fraud and subrogation opportunities.•Provides On Your Side service by making timely contact with customers, evaluating the tone of conversation and defusing if necessary, addressing concerns and fielding questions, and providing efficient case management.

•Supervises a team of forty-six employees by coaching on best practices and performance, assigning daily work schedules, creating training plans, providing annual performance reviews, and auditing cash wrap transactions. •Oversees marketing, promotions, and markdowns for a $4.6 million dollar retailer. Audits and maintains pricing and marketing accuracy. •Forecasts sales, monitors daily traffic and sales numbers, plans and executes responsive and proactive actions to drive sales. •Administers monthly legal compliance audit of I-9 forms, payroll registers, minor employment eligibility, and terminations in accordance to Colorado State Regulations. Participates and hosts district operations conference calls. •Balances daily deposits, tracks discrepancies, and utilizes revenue accounting tools to document discrepancies. Trains select employees on cash handling procedures. •Receives and diffuses escalated customer service interactions. Decides and authorizes transactions and resolutions outside of standard procedures.

•Manages a team of seven team members by writing schedules, providing coaching, delivering corrective action, distributing workload, and writing performance plans. •Oversees a closed stockroom for a forty-five million dollar mass-retailer. Establishes practices for location accuracy to minimize profit loss. •Coordinates seasonal and product transition management. Provides shipping and receiving backup. Processes damaged and defective items. •Conducts interviews, makes hiring recommendations, and trains new team members.
