-Effectively de-escalate individuals in mental health crisis-Focus on empathic communication techniques-Rapport building, risk assessment, problem identification and exploration, and collaborative problem solving

- Taught classes of up to 120 medical students how to perform the cardiac, liver/gallbladder, renal, and FAST ultrasound exams- Assisted Dr. Adrianna Pollak-Lazzaro and Dr. Joachim Brown in developing the ultrasound curriculum for Western University of Health Sciences second-year medical students- Trained first-year medical students on how to perform and teach various ultrasound exams- Coordinated transition of Ultrasound Club administrative duties from the second-year to first-year students

- Our lab, led by George J. Andersen, Ph.D, examined perceptual, attentional, and cognitive function during complex perceptual tasks, with a particular focus on aging and driving ability- Participant Interaction: coordinated with students and elderly citizens from the Riverside community as participants in research, administers Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) examinations, conducts experiments. - Recruited and scheduled students and seniors for experiments, conducts phone interviews of potential elderly participants, maintains database of participant information- Trained and supervised research Assistants, conducts interviews of applicants for research assistant positions

- Created experimental design as part of team research project under the direction of Thomas Sy, Ph.D on implicit leadership and followership theories- Obtained understanding of influences on expectations and behaviors of leaders and followers in the workplace and in team environments- Drafted proposal to Human Research Review Board, gaining experience and knowledge of ethical guidelines pertaining to research with human subjects
