I am an minister in the United Church of Christ, ordained since 1997. I preach and teach an expansive and inclusive spirituality that questions tradition, accepts human diversity, seeks individual and community transformation, advocates care for the poor and the oppressed and nurtures the Earth. Partnering with those in my congregation and wider community, I rejoice with those who celebrate, listen to those who need a compassionate friend, visit the sick and lonely and learn about what's important in the lives of others. I reach out to those on the fringes of church life, recognizing their voices as expressions of the Divine.I also partner with faith leaders to offer coaching solutions, which help professional, conscientious clergy understand and navigate this wonderful, difficult, rewarding and sometimes misunderstood vocation called ministry.I've researched and put together a collaborative organizational conflict resolution and behavioral accountability process in which participants reflect on their stories in the context of faith, community life, congregational life, history, and values. As a spiritual activist, I engage and lead others in prayerful works of social justice that forge a more inspired, compassionate and humane world.
