I am motivated by the hardest question in business: How can successful organizations continue to innovate, grow, and transform? I am the General Manager of the Build team at High Alpha Innovation. I bring over 15 years of experience as a strategy consultant; most recently I was a partner at Innosight, a firm founded by Harvard Business School Professor Clay Christensen. Throughout my career, I have worked with large corporations in the defense, automotive, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. My time in strategy and innovation solidified my belief that while incumbents have a right to win, they often struggle with "the new." This insight led me to join High Alpha Innovation in 2021 to help shape the venture studio model in ways that leverage the natural advantages of large organizations. I see startups as a solution to the Innovator's Dilemma that Christensen identified in corporate cultures.I love leading teams of curious and dedicated colleagues at High Alpha Innovation. My team is driven by the desire to make an impact on real-world problems such as the opioid crisis, healthcare inequity, and sustainability. I also enjoy partnering with large, complex organizations that share a commitment to tackling the challenges they face within their businesses and industries.Throughout my academic and professional careers, I’ve benefited greatly from mentors – people willing to open their door for a chat.
