WisCorps, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization headquartered in La Crosse, Wisconsin that engages youth and young adults in two areas: conservation projects through the Wisconsin Conservation Corps (www.wiscorps.org) and nature education through The Nature Place (www.natureplacelacrosse.org).

The Vermont Youth Conservation Corps is a non-profit youth, leadership, service, conservation, and education organization that instills in individuals the values of personal responsibility, hard work, education, and respect for the environment. This is accomplished by using conservation projects as the vehicle for learning in an intense environment.

The River Studies Center (RSC), created in 1972, is a non-curricular unit focusing on research and informational programs pertinent to the Upper Mississippi River and its related resources. My area of research focused on the effects of methylmercury on aquatic ecosystems.
