Matthew is the founder of Earthbound Expeditions, where he leads and creates small group travel adventures worldwide. Destinations include Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, North America, Latin America and Cuba. EE is one of the very few travel companies licensed by the Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and authorized to organize and operate People to People programs to Cuba.For 20 plus years, Matthew has utilized his talents as an expedition leader with Lindblad Expeditions, The World Wild Life Fund and Smithsonian Institute and Rick Steves in Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, Russia, North and South America. After completing his undergraduate studies at the universities of Copenhagen and Moscow, he went on to attend the graduate program at the London School of Economics. He has lived in Copenhagen, Paris, London, Tel Aviv and San Jose, Costa Rica. Matthew has led well over 150 overseas adventures covering 5 continents. He now lives on “la Isla Bonita” (A.K.A. Bainbridge Island, Washington).
