• Managing the ICT service within all Island Innovation Federation (IIF) schools including expanding support into five Primary schools; overseeing IT support to almost 4000 users and dealing with over 3000 support tickets annually. • Ensuring that the availability, both on and off site, along with capacity and performance levels are sufficient to support the teaching, learning, management and administration objectives of the school.• Managing the school’s ICT technical team of six full time employees ensuring effective deployment across all sites.• Managing the IIF ICT budget in compliance with financial regulations, ensuring best value in all purchases including recommending, sourcing, configuring, licensing, installing and testing computer hardware, operating systems, software, and peripheral equipment.• Managed the procurement of fibre broadband and inter-site link between IIF sites and the procurement and deployment of an IP CCTV system in 2013 and the procurement of a VoIP telephony system in 2015. • Administration of Microsoft desktop, server products, Office 365 and Apple OS X operating systems.• Developed and completed a project to roll out a unified IT network across the three IIF sites in August 2014; including the development of Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V Clusters to provide a robust system whereby a user’s network logon account could be used on any IIF site. • Continually developing the ICT system to meet the changing needs of the school and to harness the benefits of emerging technologies. • Liaising with the Teaching & Learning Managers and other staff in order to provide the best solutions to their specific ICT needs.

• Responsibility for the running, maintenance and support of the ICT service within the school and for providing technical assistance to both staff and students.• Delivered ad-hoc training to staff, students and visitors. • Worked with BT in 2011 on a pilot scheme “BT Learn Anytime” which enabled teachers, pupils and parents to access their school computer virtually through use of VDIs.• Completed the conversion of all physical servers to Hyper-V virtual servers on the network.• Tasked with the procurement of all hardware and the design and development of a brand new network for the new joint sixth form campus project in 2011.• Developed and completed a project to use Microsoft Application Virtualization to virtualise all locally installed desktop applications to enable swifter image deployment. • Developed the school’s Windows image for deployment to desktops across the site.• CAT5e cable installation including patching to high performance switches and fibre optic media.• Maintained an inventory of the school's ICT equipment, software, licence and component portfolio and ensured that any additions, upgrades, changes and disposals information was current.

• Assistance with the roll out of Terminal Services for Microsoft Windows Server 2003, including conversion of workstations to thin clients.• Catalogued all new equipment into a database and recorded all support work completed into a help desk ticket system.• Use and implementation of Microsoft desktop and server products. • Supported educational software, SIMS .net and provided technical assistance to ICT problems raised by staff and students.
