I geek out on the boring side of cool, crafting and executing macro-strategies that align with a data driven analysis ("the boring side") to scale cutting edge technology ("the cool"). Coming from a holistic manufacturing and global business background, I understand that alignment is integral for successful technology development, from partnerships to venture and from the board room to the field, teams need an achievable strategy to guide them.After completing my MBA, I spent 1 year in China working to align global sales and marketing material for an industrial equipment OEM. Then returned to the US to take part in a management trainee program, spending time in all functional areas, I gained exposure to the challenges of top-down strategy and bottoms-up challenges, which led me to led cross functional strategy projects like starting an inside sales team and opening their Canadian subsidiary. Given my holistic company understanding, I then was fortunate to start a global innovation team focused on adopting new technologies, with 3D construction printing being the flagship project. Following success with Laticrete's 3D efforts, launching the first code approved material and milestone global projects, I joined ICON Technology to lead their materials strategy. At ICON I led material operations, contributing both to the start-ups raise and subsequent deployed vertical integration efforts for their printable material, Lavacrete. Additionally, I advise with emerging ConTech start-ups and present/write on the challenges within the construction technology industry.
