Teamed with 4 fellow biomedical engineering students to develop a 3D pelvic model with training software to assist in teaching of pelvimetry examinations to obstetric and gynecological residents• Coordinated with head of UConn Health obstetrics department to establish technical requirements and product details• Drafted 3D pelvic model from anonymized patient CT scans, and integrated switches into pelvic model for use in team designed training program, using 3D Slicer, Meshmixer, and SolidWorks• Conferred with 5-member design team to finalize training software and to ensure switches functioned properly without altering overall feel or measurement of pelvis• Collaborated with UConn art department to create synthetic vagina, using modeling equipment and Dragon Skin Silicone to simulate proper tissue resistance and feel in training model• Delivered finished product at 75% of estimated cost and 1 month ahead of schedule
