Process Engineer, Jun 2008 to Oct 2009• Process/Project Engineer for the Lyophilization Suite of a new $130 MM vaccine manufacturing facility. • Responsible for the development and execution of the factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning and qualification of over $30MM of process equipment.• Developed the contractual scope of work and schedule for the installation and start-up activities of the equipment vendors and general contractor.• Managed all contract employees and vendors during the installation, commissioning and qualification of Lyophilization Suite.Development Engineer, Jun 2006 to Jun 2008• Completed a two year development program for the Global Engineering Services Division with rotations in Design Engineering, Project Controls, Project and Process Engineering positions.• Supervised contract employees and equipment vendors during installations of a high purity water-for-injection system and a new PLC for a sterile vial filler.• Led the pre-chartering analysis for replacement of three automatic inspection machines which resulted in $3MM savings in deferred capital expenditures.• Compiled and presented conceptual and detailed design estimates for biological and vaccine facilities.• Supplied international process support for the commissioning and qualification of a new formulation, filling and packaging line in the Netherlands.• Directed the root cause investigation and remediation of product contamination in vaccine filling line.• Developed process models to determine average and peak utility and resource loads.

• Finished three Cooperative Education rotations working at a Caprolactam (Nylon Intermediate) production plant.• Teamed with Operators, Production and Maintenance Engineers to ensure the operations of the plant on a daily basis. • Tasked with process monitoring, technical troubleshooting, and implementing improvement projects for throughput, yield and waste reduction.• Issued Safe Work Permits and coordinated efforts of internal and external skilled labor.• Implemented a new process control scheme that reduced Disulfonate emissions by 13%. • Developed and implemented a new pressure-drop monitoring system that was used as a key process indicator for preventive maintenance requirements.
