I achieved placement on this competitive two-month Chinese internship programme funded by the British government's GenerationUK scheme for underprivileged students to gain vital international work and cultural experience. My main responsibilities were as follows: -Producing market reports specialising in high-tech investment and Chinese venture capital opportunities.- Engaging with startup founders and stakeholders seeking seed-round funding through cross-examination and due diligence. - Researching international legal systems and drafting reports based on the startups country of origin. I also participated in the 'StartUp Grind' community; attending events discussing investment and venture capital with local startups and aiding them with knowledge on the Chinese and Chengdu economy.
