Began my journey designing for a small direct marketing firm in Princeton, New Jersey. New York city came calling by way of the professional grapevine and I was off to begin my dream career. I started off as a junior designer at Maxim magazine in 1999 and during almost 7 years of dedicated work I was promoted 3 times and awarded employee of the year in 2002. It was the most incredible job a 20-something guy could ever have. The travel, the celebrity and of course the education. By the end of 2005, I had then graduated to the greatest job a 30-something guy could ever have. Art Director for Popular Science, the world's leading science and technology magazine. No where in the world will you find a more dedicated team of professionals from every science field imaginable. My job required me to listen and interpret information from every subject, then turn those details into big, bold and engaging visuals.Since 2011, I have been the Creative Director for Mag+, the app development software spun out of a Popular Science R&D project. My role bridges the gap between print and digital. I spend my days designing apps, training clients and evangelizing the benefits of custom design for the mobile space.
