As the Interim Director of Security Programs and Emergency Management at BART, I oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the safety and security of over 400,000 daily riders, contractors, and employees. I have over 25 years of experience in the public sector, with a Master of Public Administration degree and serve as a Public Safety Accreditation Consultant. I also serve as the Project and Budget Director for the BART Police Department, managing a $130M annual budget and leading the accreditation program that ensures compliance with best practices and continual improvement. In addition, I am the President of the California Police Accreditation Coalition, a network of local and state agencies that supports and promotes professional excellence in law enforcement. I am passionate about advancing ethical and accountable programs that enhance public trust and organizational performance.
