As the ABB Ltd Account Director for Cordant Engineering I was embedded within ABB across the UK & Ireland leading an innovative and successful supply solution that ensured ABB consistently hired market leading talent across all of their key developed and emerging businesses.This successful partnership was built on transparency, added value and collaboration.I shared my time between ABB’s UK Head Office, where I was based one day per week, and their other 29 sites across the UK & Ireland which I visited in person on a regular basis.Working alongside key ABB stakeholders, I took the Cordant lead on all ABB recruitment assignments along with project managing key joint initiatives, recruitment drives and events.In addition to the above duties, my remit still remained as Cordant Engineering’s Business Development Director supporting major tenders, participating in group wide sales initiatives and fulfilling my role as a senior point of escalation for a number of our other key accounts. Also, as a Director within the Engineering Division of Cordant I sat on our Senior Management Team which had full budget delivery, divisional growth and strategic planning responsibility.

Both of the positions above utilised perfectly the skills that I had built across my career up to that time with Cordant. I joined the business as a trainee in 1999, developed quickly into a successful Engineering Recruitment Consultant before being promoted into management in 2002 and again into senior management in 2008. Throughout my tenure I have remained focussed on people and client development with a passion for growing and maintaining a quality driven, innovative engineering recruitment business.
