In 2018, I launched Café Maddie, a gourmet beachside café bistro located on the coast in Quincy, Massachusetts. I led the re-energizing of this long vacant restaurant from conceptualization to opening, running the business for four years. Café Maddie was well received and very successful and burgeoned into a vibrant local destination with multi-unit growth potential. ■ Owning and operating Café Maddie empowered me with a new entrepreneurial perspective, gaining more bootstrapping experience and expertise in strategic exits. I sold the business and assets in November 2021.

Continuing my dedication to the food business, I leveraged my expertise at Gourmet Food Solutions to formulate and rebuild our strategy from the ground up. I re-energized the remaining assets from the acquisition of Hot Mama’s to focus on the development of new branded lines and private label products for national distributors and top-tier brands. ■ Brand & Product Launch Leadership: Double Fresh – led the conceptualization, testing, and launch to position the brand as the next big trend in the hummus category; also developed and launched private label butters and sauces for Ahold USA and Taylor Farms.
