I am working to help build the next generation design system for CVS.

I worked on the Client Foundations team focused on improving developer experience and enabling product teams to build faster with greater confidence. I led the design system web engineering efforts. I promoted accessibility best practices through presentations and automated tooling.

I led two teams while I had this role- first was a large product team that supported multiple product categories where I served as both tech lead and scrum master. I then became the lead for the design systems team where I worked closely with our Platform team to help create a new generation of components to meet our dynamic, multi-site architecture. We went from delivering releases once a week to on demand. The time to create new site experiences was radically reduced, and the consistency of our UI across the target.com domain was dramatically improved.

I worked on a product team focused on creating new product browsing experiences and promotional work for multi-billion dollar brand releases. I also worked as an advocate for our new design systems team and served as an expert in solving accessibility challenges across the site.

In this role I was part of a small, cross-disciplinary team responsible for creating new templates and components for future target.com releases. I helped drive initiatives that led to our adoption of React.js and TypeScript, while also maintaining the component library that would serve as a precursor to our design system team.

In this role I created custom front end solutions for new content and promotions for Target.com's homepage and category landing pages. I worked closely with product designers from multiple product categories in this effort. I also worked closely with our accessibility team to ensure we followed WCAG 2.0 guidelines.

My roles has ranged from assisting in the development of frontend architecture to leading projects. I worked on projects big and small, for industries including film, financial, pharmaceutical, gaming, and social media.

Self-employed. I did full stack development (primarily LAMP) with clients ranging from international corporations to local small business. I became well-versed in Wordpress and developed a number of sites using it as a platform.
