I am responsible for ensuring our hiring, orientation and training practices conform to the personnel policy expectations of the co-op.

I maintain core financial activities including vendor invoices, payroll, and all tax filing. I also help facilitate ends statement alignment with our bookkeeping practices through Open Book Accounting and other value-added accounting practices.

I maintain membership services and benefits including all membership databases and documentation, as well as coordinating benefit communications for Owner Members using Mailchimp.

As a Board Member I helped draft a new ends statement, hire and evaluate our current General Manager, develop a relationship with Co-operative Development Services (CDS) including attending multiple regional conferences on strategic development and board proficiency.

I coordinated schedules and trained the volunteer team that maintained many essential functions of the grocery store including working cash registers, nightly cleaning and stocking shelves during delivery. This included up to 75 volunteers per week working 2-4 hour shifts. In addition, I handled recruitment, development and evaluation of volunteers..

I presented on the pros and cons of the consumer-owned cooperative model, and how different ownership models can intercooperate to form more equitable, transparent and resilient food supply chains in Georgia. My co-presenters were from Our Harvest union-co-op farm in Cincinnati, OH, West Georgia Farmer's Co-op in LaGrange, and Feed the People Farm in.

With a generous grant of two free copies of Co-opoly thanks to the CHS Foundation and the Toolbox for Education and Social Action (TESA) I taught a class to the Young Urban Farmers program of the Athens Land Trust which teaches high school students grades 9-11 from three local high schools essential skills in food-based entrepreneurship while giving them a.

This conference focused on the rights of Athens workers and was the kick-off to the worker's rights campaign of Athens for Everyone. Workplace grievance procedures were discussed including the definition of "conserted activity" under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act which provides many of the protections available to Georgia workers in a right-to-work.

As treasurer I facilitate the board's understanding of our financial accountability, as well as overseeing payroll and sales tax filing on a timely basis.I also helped plan our Fall bike ride: The Ride That Owns Itself, an homage to the Athens landmark the Tree that Owns Itself. We awarded as a raffle prize a sapling of the tree to one lucky rider.

I helped Rabbit Box in capacities including bookkeeping, advertising, outreach, and storyteller recruitment. As show director I facilitated the "Rainbow Box: Stories from the LGBTQ Community" and "The Year is Young" youth storytelling including workshopping with storytellers prior to them taking the stage. I designed and maintained the monthly Mailchimp.
