About Matthew Everitt

I am Ethan and Kaitlyn’s Dad and a trusted CFO and consigliere to entrepreneurs, creatives and innovators doing good things in the world. I was the co-creator and executive producer of NBC’s World of Dance with Jennifer Lopez and served as CFO for StoryFile, the pioneering conversational AI company, as well as multiple media, advertising, sports, fitness and entertainment companies with successful exits. I am a graduate of the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona and serve on the board of directors of the national nonprofits Games for Change and Compassion Prison Project.My new venture, The Good CFO, is the culmination of more than 20 years of experience supporting and scaling up dozens of organizations at the intersection of media, technology and impact. The Good CFO is a collective of fractional CFOs, analysts, accountants, and HR professionals that provide accounting, finance, HR and recruiting support to organizations doing good in the world - anything from helping a startup set up their books for the first time (which we often do for free) to outsourced accounting and fractional CFO support for companies at all stages (bookkeeping, fundraising, forecasting, investor grade financials and reporting, strategic planning, etc.).
