Research Assistant Iv
Current- Lead researcher and project manager in discovering the effects of mRNA COVID-19 vaccination effects on the immune system for HIV+ patients who at one time were infected with COVID-19 and those who were never infected.
- Identifying anti-IFN antibodies and small molecule compounds using a phosphorylated STAT and ISG15 flow cytometry assay. Aided in developing and optimizing the flow cytometry assay for broader usage.
- Investigating the effects of the immune system of opioid users receiving buprenorphine, or naltrexone in HIV infected patients. Inspecting monocyte and T-cell activation patterns, in addition to cytokine concentrations.
- Examining the effectiveness of interferon immunotherapy on HIV patients on viral suppressants. Gained understanding on a variety of immunotherapies including, but not limited to: cytokine therapy, CAR T-cell therapy.
- Profiling proliferation and killing potency of immune cells with a variety drugs using flow cytometry. Analyzed antibody recruiting molecules and their effects on killing potential of immune cells in cooperative.
- Distinguishing the pathway intricacies of immune cell stimulation through sandwich immunoassays, boosting apprehension in immune cell activation after immunotherapy for HIV and cancer patients.
