I have a true sincerity when taking care of patients because I want to see them regain their health while creating a personable yet professional relationship with them. When taking care of my patients, I try all methods in coordination with the physicians and within the scope of my nursing practice to improve my patient's health care outcomes. When working, I have a keen ability to maintain organization and work well under stress. I believe that nursing is a team sport; therefore, whatever role I am in, whether a leader or contributor, I will give my all to the patients and fellow nurses on my unit. Outside of nursing school or clinical, I love to spend time outdoors. Some of my favorite activities I enjoy are surfing, hiking, and playing basketball. And when I can, I love to travel and see new places.

  As a nursing student at the University of Portland, I have had the honor of learning the newest and best nursing practices. I have had the ability to learn with the best nursing instructors in a top-tier simulated nursing facility. For the past year, I have been able to have hands-on clinical experience with real patients. Going into my senior year, I will have more clinical experience and will be learning more nursing practices.
