From 2003 to 2018 I was part of the Healthcare and Government Teams at PA Consulting Group with various client assignment, business development and people management responsibilities.Within Healthcare I have worked with clinicians, managers and executives in both the NHS and DHSC on policy development, hospital improvement, commissioning support, integrated care, population health management, and the Lead Provider and Health Systems Support Frameworks. My roles have included a secondment with the NHS as Deputy Director for Business Development at NEL CSU.More broadly within Government I have worked in the UK and overseas for a range of departments, agencies and public bodies including Local Authorities, FCO, UKTI, BIS, HEFCE, BBC and Bank of England.My core skills include: programme and project management (MSP® and PRINCE2® qualified); business development and bid management; strategy and policy development; strategic communications; and some business case work.From 1998 to 2003 I was a subject matter expert on humanitarian policy in Afghanistan: advising the United Nations, European Parliament and UK and Dutch Governments; conducting primary research in the region; publishing peer reviewed articles; moderating international academic conferences; and giving media interviews (TV, radio and newspaper).
