As the Commercial Director, Matthew has managed several large projects for clients in Retail and Funds Management, as well as leading investments in specific technology companies.Key projectsConfidential Acquisition (Tech Startup) - 2019 - 2020Matthew led the acquisition of several tech startups from sourcing through to fund raising.Cheap as Chips (Retail) - 2016 - 2018Matthew undertook a review of the applications, infrastructure and capability on behalf of the new Board. His findings were developed into an implementation plan, which Matthew oversaw, including ERP selection and rollout. In this project, he introduced a retail technology strategy, improved business processes including logistics and finance and planned changes from point-of-sale to operational hosting.Coinvest (Funds Management) - 2016Matthew led an operational effectiveness project, improving the fund manager's claim process. The project changed policy, business processes and payment adjustments, substantially improving KPIs. Portable Long Service Leave (Funds Management) - 2017 - 2018An advisory role providing input on business processes and technology/change projects. Matthew developed this account, bringing together different State funds to consider National issues.Key investmentsShopchatapp (Retail): 2018Matthew is a board member for this retail tech business. The app matches shoppers and retailers with common requirements to improve sales conversion. His involvement has been in raising finance, product advice and team building.Gourmet2Go (Retail): 2013 - 2015Matthew led the sales & logistics effort for this outsourced business providing room service to hotels.Rowbust & Frenzi (Apparel): 2008 - currentA commercial garment wholesaler and retailer who provide action wear for clubs & schools. Matthew is responsible for finance and supply chain management.
