MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS• Led Viridian from 11,000 homes via 3 mergers to a merged organisation of 30,000 homes;• Re-focused business both geographically (exit from Merseyside) and functionally (exit from Care and Supported Housing);• Transformed service quality in all key services, achieving upper quartile performance in all key services with particular focus on maintenance and asset management which won Best-In-Sector Award in 2014;• Left Viridian in 2013-14 with by far its highest ever Operating Surplus of £27.4 million and Net Surplus of £16.9 million; • Created strategic focus on Social Impact to achieve long-term improvements in the quality of life of customers; • Oversaw growth of development programme to over 1,000 units; and• Transformed culture to a modern, IT-literate, empowered group of colleagues in new offices with staff turnover below 8%; and• Created Project Management Office that transformed timely delivery of high quality projects.ACHIEVEMENTS FOR OLDER RESIDENTS• Oversaw development of 3 state-of-the-art Retirement schemes each of approx 150 homes, involving significant sales.• Oversaw launch and successfully management of Private Finance Initiative in Care Homes for Older People.• Oversaw turn-around of Residential Care operation for Older People in 15 care homes – then successfully sold the portfolio.• Oversaw creation of Digital Initiative for Older People that won national recognition. • Upgraded portfolio of 3,000 sheltered housing units with sale of unviable homes achieving 98%+ occupancy in remainder.• Gave Older People a stronger voice in Viridian through creation of Resident Scrutiny Board recognised through national award from the Housing Quality Network as one of 3 best examples of customer consultation in country.

Chief Executive (from 1996 of Harding and from 2003 of the merged organisation) and Finance Director (of Harding from 1996 to 2000) responsible for strategy, personnel, finance, IT and corporate services. 150 staff and 3,000 properties all in south London. Main achievements• Led Harding to 3 star “Excellent” accreditation from the Audit Commission and was one of the first organisations to achieve this; and• Doubled size of organisation through merger.

Responsible for direct investments in property, oil and gas, financial institutions and venture capital made by this investment banking subsidiary of a Middle Eastern bank.
