RootZoo launched a proprietary fantasy sports betting platform and point-incentivized user-generated content social network in July 2009.Role:- Pioneered the internet's first real-time sports betting platform utilizing scoring and stats systems for fantasy football, sports leagues & teams, Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA) and National Hockey Leagues (NHL).- Integrated our programming platform and interfacing technology with ticketsales and partnered with TicketCity to enable them to enhance ticket sale profits in all sports events throughout the United States- User-Incentivization Platform for engagement and user-generated content production and to increase the stickyness of the users on our social network platform; we had the highest engagement in the industry above Yahoo! Sports & ESPN.Achievements:- First implementation of real-time browser based game data and live sports scores on the web.- Architected first sports social network out-competing ESPN and Yahoo! Sports to enhance fan engagement with real-time user-generated content on the internet and mobile platforms, as well as at the game events itself.- Designed physical dedicated servers for database, web servers, diaster recovery and developer operations.- Negotiated $600,000 data contract agreement with Stats.com, LLC. - Designed full platform (back-end, client-side, and TFTP/Memcache middleware) to enable with real-time browser-based game data and scores to RootZoo via tftp server upload to us from STATS, LLC. We indexed and parsed this data into MySQL and memcached for real-time updates for jQuery to pull via AJAX. - Implemented, architected and developed logic, database and code for the site's competitive point system to provide assets for the sports betting platform and to increase user-generated content and site engagement by rewarding users with different tiers of privileges based on various milestones and achievements on the site.
