Role Responsibilities• Provide technical support to the production and maintenance teams.• Respond to equipment failure and conduct root cause analysis to increase the availability and utilisation of the plant.• Review and develop procedures for maintenance of new and existing equipment to ensure that it is maintained against original equipment manufacturer standards.Achievements • Conducted a root cause analysis on switch gear failure eliminating further downtime.• Responded to supply transformer failure and managed successful repair resulting in minimum downtime.• Created redundancy plans for site electrical supply in response to the transformer failure.• Reduced the frequency of arc flash protection fuse failures by spacing out the starting of large motor drives.

Achievements • Conducted a review of the annual high voltage maintenance resulting in clearer procedures which reduced downtime.• Completed training with the Melbourne Business School developing useful skills for people management.

Summer internship working in maintenance, instrumentation and electrical engineering department. Worked with the engineering team completing arc flash studies, electrical switchgear reviews and plant modification and maintenance shutdowns.

Summer work in power systems division. Worked with the engineering team constructing and testing power supply units for telecommunication applications.

Operated and maintained automated direct mail machines.
