Leading a talented team of web professionals in building, maintaining and improving core properties like FIU.edu and 150+ websites for colleges, departments and centers as the senior director of the Office of Digital Communications in the Division of Strategic Communications, Government and External Affairs.In the last year, our team launched more than 20 websites and at least 20 more custom, campaign-focused landing pages. We also pushed more than 20 releases to the official FIU web template, which included new modules, UX upgrades and major accessibility fixes.

Supervised developers and contractors, managed time and resources across several time zones, set all code standards and guided development for internal and client projects. From 2018 through 2021, I oversaw the development of more than 600 web projects including more than 150 new websites.In order to facilitate efficient progress and development with these projects, I led the creation and maintenance of a source template and documentation repository.All of my work and the work I oversaw built around code standardization, readability and accessibility. Sites were built and hosted in the company's PHP-based content management system.

Worked in a Scrum environment with radio and television station teams to execute website redesigns and develop strategic plans to meet requirements brought forth by clients, publishers and users.Prioritized features and projects and helped manage internal and off-shore development and QA resources. Used my background in development to ensure technical requirements were clear, concise and immediately actionable.

Duties included hand-coding HTML5 and CSS3, CMS implementation using ExpressionEngine, interface design and site maintenance. In my last year, I helped release websites for University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, UHealth - University of Miami Health System, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where I led all front-end development and CMS integration.

Started in the Office of Web Administration maintaining several major University of Florida websites and working with a team designing, coding and editing new and existing sites and content. Later, I transferred to the College of Law where I maintained the college's website, acted as an editor for online content and became the main contact for online media. Special projects at UF included building dynamic sites using Textpattern and WordPress.
