FAA Certified Air Traffic control specialist (RAPCON) responsible for the safe and expeditious movement of aircraft totaling 1.4 million operations over the course of 6 years. Coordinated the movement of military training aircraft, flight check, airliners, and civil aircraft through ATCAA Airspace in an extremely dense pilot training area. Worked and coordinated multiple severe weather recall’s, most notably where 15 aircraft were rerouted, enabling the safe recovery of 30 pilots and 63 million dollars in assets. Additionally, recovered 16 aircraft and safeguarded 32 pilots during three simultaneous emergencies and a dual runway closure. Within the Air Forces 2nd busiest AETC (Air Education and Training Command) pilot training base Vance AFB, Enid, OK. Coordinated the movement of presidential, scramble, priority (U2/UAS/Flight check/foreign presidential), fighter/rotorcraft aircraft and chase/intercept aircraft in a highly congested airspace with constant TFR’s which was surrounded by and dealt primarily with foreign nationals in the Air Force’s most forward-deployed location, Osan AB, Republic of Korea. Held 27 different FAA Ratings with 0 safety violations, to include multiple MOA, arrivals, approach, departures, assist, clearance delivery/radar flight data, coordinator, and radar finals control. 5 years of trainer experience; teaching, instructing, monitoring, evaluating, and mentoring 30+ Airmen leading to over 200 individual FAA ratings and totaling 20 upgraded and FAA certified; Air Force, Marine, and Civilian control specialists. Assigned as OSAN ANATCT (Assistant Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Air Traffic Control Training) oversaw the Master Training Plan/Records and reviewed monthly the regulations and local operating procedures IAW JO7110.65, AFMAN 13-204V3, Local Operating Procedures and all supplemental training passed down from Air Force Flight Standards Agency (HQ AFFSA) for both RAPCON and tower. Kept, maintained, signed off on, and reviewed monthly the records to over 60 controllers to allow proper documentation. Learned extremely effective communication skills through 18 months of negotiating, coordinating, and interacting with Foreign Nationals. Developed local operating procedures to ensure flight safety and proper documentation of flight progress strips. Amended local operating procedures to reduce workload of controllers and to increase safety of flight.
