Served as Instructor Carrier Aircraft Plane Commander, NATOPS Instructor, Functional Check Flight pilot, and Tactical Command and Control Mission Commander. Performed duties as as Director of Operations and Director of Administration (Department Head) for a West Coast-based Navy E-2C Hawkeye squadron throughout 26 months of sustained and demanding, high-tempo operations. As Director of Operations, I led 150 personnel to execute 1,400 flight hours with four aircraft, managed a $1.42 million budget, and delivered seamless command and control for the Carrier Strike Group in support of national directives during a six-month Western Pacific Deployment. As the Director of Administration, I led a team of 5 junior officers and 13 enlisted personnel to deliver exceptional customer service to all members of the command. Ensured the continuous flow of correspondence within the command and provided the primary point of contact for service members to resolve pay and allowance issues, process awards, and manage all administrative requirements related to a Sailor's career. Mentored and developed 20 junior officers as tactical aviators and leaders. Principal senior advisor to the Commanding Officer.

As Director of Operations, I led 110 personnel, managed a $5 million operating budget, and directed test operations of 4 aircraft to successfully complete the E-2D’s Initial Operational Test & Evaluation. The eight-month detachment successfully completed and documented all operational test objectives and enabled the Department of Defense's Full-Rate Production decision. As Aviation Safety Officer, I managed the Safety Management System, served as the VAW Community Operational Risk Management Model Manager, and instituted the aviation safety action program. Served as the initial cadre of instructor pilots for the E-2C CNS/ATM (glass cockpit upgrade) and the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye.

Directed support for the Next Generation Frigate's developmental test strategy formulation in preparation of the formal acquisition decision (Milestone B) to commit financial resources to procure the new platform.
