Following the acquisition of PCS Asbestos Consultants Ltd in February 2023, I continue to be part of the management team in a Technical / Consultancy role and it remains very much business as usual across all departments.
PCS Asbestos Consultants Ltd were acquired by Tersus Consultancy Ltd, part of Marlowe PLC in February 2023. Marlowe PLC is the UK leader in specialist services which assure safety and regulatory compliance for its clients. It’s extensive portfolio of group companies manage risks for businesses across individual divisions that focus on health and safety, HR and employment law compliance, fire safety, water treatment, air quality and occupational health services.

Matt is a founding director and investor in PCS Asbestos Consultants Limited. PCS are at the forefront of technology in terms of data management and dissemination in the asbestos management field. The PCS Risk Manager web portal is used by many major UK corporate clients as part of their asbestos compliance strategy. PCS Risk Manager App was launched on the Apple App Store 2016 and the Android version launched Autumn 2017. This ground breaking technology simplifies the process of getting asbestos data to those on risk working on a client’s site. Existing PCS Risk Manager users log in using the same login and password for the App. After initial login future access is simplified by fingerprint login functionality. The Apps have been designed to notify clients approved contractors' operatives via their smart device. As the operative approaches a clients' site they receive a push message alert using geo positioning technology and prompts them to review the asbestos information. Users are presented with the asbestos information via simple interactive and colour coded floor plans designed for ease of use. A help line and 'report an issue' function allows expert support to be provided if required. All user App activity is added to the user audit trail which is recorded in PCS Risk Manager web portal. The audit trail may prove invaluable to corporate clients should asbestos materials be disturbed during works without procedures being complied with. Clients with administrator rights can review contractor compliance at any time.
