Throughout my career I've worked in a variety of technical and client facing roles most of which have involved learning new skills and products quickly.Most recently I spent 2007-2019 in the enterprise content management space working as a consultant with Documentum, ApplicationXtender, and related products while utilizing Java and C# for development. I am currently pursuing some outdoor goals and evaluating future job directions. As a result I have some availability in the January to April timeframe each year but the rest of the time I’m usually on trail until I shift back to full employment. Assuming I stay in tech I would prefer to move away from Documentum.Outside of work my passion is outdoor leadership across a variety of activities. Since 2009 I have been an instructor and group leader with the Sierra Club Wilderness Travel Course which is a 10 week introductory backpacking and outdoor skills class. I am also a program director for the Sierra Club Advanced Mountaineering Course where I handle staffing, safety policy, and training in addition to hands on instruction in a high consequence environment. In addition I lead wilderness outings throughout the western states and I am very passionate about safely guiding people through experiences they felt were beyond their capabilities. I am also a scuba divemaster and I run a personal blog / YouTube channel about my outdoor adventures.
