Matt is a registered patent attorney who has counseled clients in patents and technology for almost two decades. Throughout his career, Matt has litigated more than 50 cases in U.S. district courts, before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the International Trade Commission, and on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He has worked on matters involving microprocessors, computer memories, programmable logic devices, analog and digital integrated circuits, semiconductor devices, packaging and processing methods, wireless networking standards, light-emitting diode devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) resonators, and home security systems. Matt's particular emphasis involves technical analysis, working with experts, and developing case themes and strategies. He uses his technical aptitude combined with his ability to simplify technical issues to provide strategic legal guidance for his clients. Before practicing law, Matt worked as an electrical engineer in developing state-of-the-art microprocessors and memory systems. He has significant experience designing integrated circuits at the microarchitecture, logic gate, and transistor levels, and is proficient in Verilog and VHDL hardware description languages.
