In this coaching role, I am excited to focus on enhancing our firm's strong and entrepreneurial culture, expanding the firm's Cleveland office, and continuing to advise clients on their ESOP and M&A-related questions. I remain dedicated to guiding and supporting Stout’s professionals in the region with a focus on the firm's growing service offerings, while also assisting our executive team in recruiting qualified individuals who share Stout’s core values.

Clients come to us for purposes such as financial reporting, corporate tax planning and compliance, trust and estate tax reporting, shareholder and succession planning, and litigation matters.A significant portion of my experience has been focused on structuring and valuation of ownership interests held by Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), including performing analyses related to ESOP security formation, sell-side transaction advisory, determination of transaction fairness, and annual employer security valuation updates. In addition to over 1,000 ESOP-related projects, I have advised clients and completed valuation/financial opinion projects in many other contexts, including corporate strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift taxation, and other shareholder matters.

Drawing from prior corporate experience, provided perspectives to the executive team through clear establishment of vision, strategy, and financial goals. Assisted with the process to build support for Westland’s strategic path, including aspects related to corporate finance, employee culture, geographic growth, corporate governance processes, and succession-planning. Attended quarterly and special Board meetings with focus on risk-management as well as ongoing financial audit reporting and annual valuation processes. Observed a full business lifecycle from a founder-owned consultancy into a multidisciplined employee-owned business before a successful transaction with a growth oriented and PE-backed strategic partner (Trinity).
