CurrentWith 15 years of experience in the marijuana industry, Chief Executive Officer Matthew Huron is one of the most experienced cultivators of marijuana in the United States. He is an industry leader in best practices marijuana cultivation and dispensing, and his successful record of providing high quality and compassionate service to patients has been consistently demonstrated throughout his businesses in California and Colorado. Huron became involved in the medical and retail marijuana industry when his father and his father’s partner were diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. In 1996, when medical marijuana became available in California, Huron saw firsthand the symptomatic relief they experienced from this alternative medical treatment. In 2000, he began growing medical marijuana for AIDS patients throughout the state, founding and operating a nonprofit medical marijuana co-op that became one of the most respected in San Francisco.In 2010, he started Good Chemistry Colorado. As CEO, Huron planned the facility infrastructure design and construction, acquired the necessary financing and directed the resulting work. Under Huron’s leadership, Good Chemistry now employs more than 80 staffers who serve over 22,000 customers per month. Huron also has further developed and implemented best practices in the medical marijuana industry, including creating a Compassionate Care Program that enables patients with limited resources to obtain medical marijuana at little or no cost. Since 2010, Huron has expanded cultivation operations in two large Colorado facilities that are devoted solely to the production of more than 50 strains of marijuana.
