Matt's education includes an MBA program at the Foster School of Business and earned an Economics degree from Brown University. Most recently, he built and managed the Private Brands Finance team at Chewy and supported 3x business partner growth, significant gross margin improvements, a new international sourcing office, and the launch of a multitude of new products and brands. Prior to Chewy, Matt spent five years at Amazon managing P&Ls, launching new products, developing financial models, making investments, and forecasting and budgeting for multiple businesses as part of the Financial Leadership Development Program. During his MBA program, Matt spent his interim summer of business school at Amazon Web Services in a Senior Financial Analyst role and accepted a full time role at Amazon after building a new business model for the Amazon App Store during his internship. Prior to attending Foster, Matt worked in the commodities trading industry managing the organization and analysis of large sets of data spanning an array of products in order to analyze trading, finance, and accounting functions. He is interested in finance, markets, and data analysis. Following graduation from Brown, he moved to Boston where he worked with the trading desk at an oil company doing a variety of analyses on markets and trading operations. Looking to further his knowledge and experience, he moved to New York City and began work at a metals trading firm where he gained finance and accounting skills in addition to enhancing his trading analysis skill set. He enjoys working wherever he can apply his financial and analytical skills in a fast paced environment where he can apply his skills and learn.
