Product Safety Field Return Technician

Cupertino, California, Us

Analyzing failed Apple products in the Safety Lab for a possible cause, I have a broad technical knowledge of the way Apple products are built and designed. Occasionally performing a destructive analysis, I excel at working with my hands with precision to take devices apart. When serial numbers do not match, use of Agile is implemented to determine certain components and vendors from the BOM. As safety concerns come down from executives, I pull large reports with varying qualifications to clean the system and ensure data accuracy; this requires dealing with massive amounts of data and keeping it organized and documented. I use MS Excel to create charts and spreadsheets to present data from thermocouples to the engineers visually. Often, I work with multiple cross-functional teams of engineers, AppleCare, legal, and hardware design to corroborate on the details of the failure. During certain tests, we would use iTrack to get certain exemplar or production units.

Genius Admin

Cupertino, California, Us

In the role of Genius Admin, my attention to detail has resolved many discrepancies for inventory. Analyzing our system and cross-referencing the bucket validation, I can identify overages and shortages and rectify them. I am responsible for any organizational movement in the life cycle of our service parts; I oversee our technicians as they complete repairs. During the day, I audit repairs and make sure parts used match the real life situation. Each day, I ship out every computer and mobile device to our depot repair vendors and attach tracking numbers to verify receipt. Upon receipt of our incoming depot repairs, I verify that each computer or mobile device matches the repaired condition and run post-repair testing before contacting the customer. Whenever new products are introduced, my role includes capturing devices for early field failure analysis. Participating in conference calls with Engineering, I convey information to the entire retail store to establish an understanding of how capturing failing devices impacts the company. As a focus store in the Bay Area, we have a courier arrive to pickup the capture and deliver them to Engineering. If there are any issues, Engineering will contact me to rectify and reconcile any discrepancies or false captures. I often liaise with Apple Care and other parts of the company for coverage issues and emerging issues.

Creative

Cupertino, California, Us

The role of the Creative team is to teach our customers how to find the best practices for using their device, whether it be an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. We also have a complete working knowledge of the software Apple has to offer and train our customers on how to find the complete solution in their endeavors, whether it be creating a photo book, calendar, home movie, or new song. Having patience is key for this role, as many older customers have a difficult time understanding our products and software; I take the time to slow down and use analogies with the learning process. My scores have shown that I am an efficient and effective trainer.

Family Room Specialist

Cupertino, California, Us

As a Family Room Specialist in 2014, I would take appointments on a walk-in basis as well as in a queue system; we worked to enrich the lives of our loyal customers and repair the relationships between the company, customer, and device. As I learned more about the Creative position, I strove to achieve my goal of obtaining this role. I applied and achieved my goal though thorough personal development and dedication to my results.
