This role entailed designing and implementing high value projects for large enterprise customers.My role entails;• Workshops with the customer to discuss their business and technological requirements.• Designing the solution to meet the customers business and technical needs. As well as ensuring the customer has a good ROI and future proofing their investment for the foreseeable future.• Implementing the solutions along the project plan, Ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverable are accomplished within the defined time frame.• Providing technical consultation to customers who require assistance with implementation or configuration which is beyond the scope of their internal IT support teams.• Providing Solutions Architecture to projects to ensure that all areas of the solution are designed, deployed, documented and tested successfully.I have worked on large deployments, including one of 80 virtual servers for a large multi site retail business which will support their new business application. This has involved the design of new network layers, Firewall replacement (TMG to Fortigate), Server 2012 R2 implementation into their environment, SQL Server 2012 design, Server 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services and App-V implementation to allow the delivery of the new application to the customers users. Highly available storage design for SQL server and for the hosts (Windows Server 2012 R2 running Hyper-V). Configuration of the new platform, Including Kemp Load balancers, Fortigate implementation and VDOM (Virtual DOMain) design and implementation, Windows Server builds and configuration to conform to my design. Change requests raised, CAB attendance when required to ensure that the technical aspects of the changes are correctly conveyed to technically illiterate board members.

This role entails supporting a 280 (Growing around 5 sites a month) endpoint network. These sites are spread nationwide, Utilising hardware encryption technologies from TRL and EADS to provide a high level of security encryption. It runs on purely Cisco network hardware with technologies from throughout the product range.• Maintain the network hardware (Datacentre and Site)• Maintain the routing technologies (OSPF and EIGRP)• Maintenance of GRE and Security Associations• Maintenance of the Cisco ASA firewalls protecting the critical applications in the core. • Provide outage reasons for site downtime. Investigation with our Third party black network supplier.• Maintenance of SolarWinds network monitoring platform, Running NPM, SAM, IPAM, NCM Netflow, Storage Manager and Log and Event Analyser. • Maintaining ESXi 5x hosts with VCentre for migration and fault tolerance for guests.• Configuration of HP C7000 Blade Centre Chassis• Configuration of HP LeftHand P4500 and P4800 chassis in Network RAID 10• Cisco Teleconferencing system maintenance with VCS, TMS and 20+ MCUs, Providing scheduled and Ad Hoc conferencing to a userbase of over 250 endpoints.• Design, Configure and Build the network for all new sites that are deployed. This includes the configuration of the IP Address schemes (Minimum of 4 per site) and configuration of hardware encryptors and associated key materials.• Maintain, Deploy and upgrade Windows Server 2008 (R2) services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Exchange Server 2010, SQL Server 2008 and IIS).I am currently involved with completing a piece of work to upgrade our core switches to Cisco Nexus class and deploy new HP C7000 Blade Chassis in order to facilitate the migration from physical (HP DL380) to virtual (VMWare). Increasing the fault tolerance, expandability and cost effectiveness of the systems.
