BiographyMatthew was born in Neath and began singing at a young age. He became a pupil of Welsh soprano Patricia O'Neill in 1998. After two years of study he joined the Welsh National Youth Opera (WNYO) and performed in several of their productions.These roles include: Macheath (Beggar’s Opera), Pirelli (Sweeny Todd), Nanki-poo (Mikado), in Cardiff and at Belfast Opera House.During his invaluable years with WNYO he was accepted as a student at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff. During his studies, at the college, Matthew became a member of the famous young Welsh choir Only Men Aloud.Recent opera excerpts include: Alfredo (La Traviata), Don josé (Carmen), Duke (Rigoletto) Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Jaquino (Fidelio), Lionel (Martha), Lippo (Street Scene), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Ramiro (La Cenerentola), Rodolfo (La Boheme).Matthew’s concert work includes: Magnificat (Bach), Missa Solemnis, Nelson Mass (Haydn), Olivet to Calvary (J.H. Maunder) and Mass in G (Schubert).Matthew has participated in masterclasses with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Dennis O’Neill, Rebecca Evans, Della Jones, Ryland Davies and Peter Wilson.Over the years Matthew has become a well-known artiste, winning at local Welsh Eisteddfod's and appearing in concert with many Choirs both in Wales and England. He has toured in Ireland, Poland and on two occasions in Italy.Matthew is a Master’s graduate from the Wales International Academy of Voice, university of Wales, Trinity Saint Davids after studying with International Tenor Dennis O’Neill and visiting Soprano Nuccia Focile.

In this position it was my duty to fleet all funerals, instruct and over see staff, and many other duties of a private nature. This also included Co-ordinating 14 branches of the funeral service from Port Talbot to Camarthen, South Wales.
