This group numbered as many as 230 engineers and project managers. The program initiatives included VoIP, Exchange, SAN, LAN/WAN engineering, certification and deployment. This was a $35M/year P&L and the cornerstone of a multi-billion dollar contract. When I took over this group the contract was 2 years behind schedule with enormous cost overruns. Under my leadership the delivery problems were fixed, service offerings were certified as ready to deploy and customer relations were normalized. EDS Executive Leadership decided to renegotiate the contract terms with the client, ultimately leading to mutually accepted disengagement terms.
