Matt was the executive leader of several functions at Hickory Farms, including Strategy & Analytics; Product Development, Merchandising, and Planning; Supply Chain; Technology; and Integration & Project Management teams. Additionally, Matt led the executive team in defining the organization's core operational and strategic projects and driving execution each year, as well as, supporting the CEO on key culture, talent, and engagement, and communication activities across the company.As part of a new management team, Matt led significant efforts to define and execute on a multi-channel growth strategy - expanding the product assortment to be relevant to more occasions and time periods; identifying opportunities for growth via acquisition, leading operational due diligence on acquisition targets and leading the integration planning and execution for three successful acquisitions; and supporting the complete rebranding of the Hickory Farms brand to a more premium and impressive positioning in the food gifting market. Additionally, Matt was the executive in charge of implementing entirely new systems (ERP, WMS, POS, CRM) to replace 15+-year-old legacy systems that were no longer supported and could not scale with the growth planned for the business. Matt also led Hickory Farm's real estate process, including relocation of the corporate headquarters from Toledo, OH, to Chicago, IL, as well as, expansion of the primary distribution center in the Chicagoland area to meet future growth needs.

Matt led the Operations and Merchandising organization at Redbox which includes over 1,400 employees across Field Operations, Machine Support, Inventory & Logistics, Strategy & Analytics, and Operations Analytics and Program Management. The Operations and Merchandising team is responsible for merchandising Redbox's 40,000+ kiosks every week, including inventory stocking/optimization, marketing displays, and kiosk cleaning, as well as, all break fix and preventative maintenance work to keep the kiosks online, including both remote troubleshooting and onsite maintenance. Matt also led all of the functions that support the Field Operations team, including route optimization, kiosk and employee telecom, fleet management, spare parts and cleaning supplies fulfillment, inventory management, and analytics teams to support new growth and operational efficiency initiatives.Matt was also responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with Redbox's third party logistics providers, and management of a total annual budget in excess of $150MM.
