Experienced, Shader, and Material Artist with a demonstrated history of working in the computer games industry. Over 15 years of experience in multiple roles starting in environment creation, then tackling increasingly technical tasks working with nearly every art discipline he is now the sole shader artist at DSvolition where he collaborates with every discipline that puts pixels onscreen. Skills include: shader creation, physically based materials and textures in both specular and metallic workflows, teaching skills, pipeline creation. He has a passion for asset optimization, and with an eye for unnecessary waste, has a firm belief that "optimizing up" is almost always able to improve both performance and quality simultaneously.In his spare time he runs a long time tabletop roleplaying campaign, and teaches historical fencing twice a week, as well as many forms of crafting.
