I'm transforming GigaTECH's development capabilities in our services-based business. I created and oversee our technical internship program. I have spearheaded our cloud-based, microservices development in our R&D department creating Healthcare IT apps using the FHIR and related standards. Responsible for advising the IT department and specifically the Software Development department in SOA and cloud computing of a local government organization. I attempted to standardize their enterprise architecture under one DoDAF compliant, web delivered toolset. I developed a Roadmap to Services implementation beginning with common Authentication and Authorization implementation to the inclusion of a common service security toolset, to finally having a library of easily consumable SOAP & REST services that applications could take advantage of.

During this time I was a software developer and a lead software developer on the Pathfinder Tool Suit. Using C/C++/PHP and Java, we developed the Pathfinder Data Mining Toolset for data search and retrieval based on Memex and Lucene indexes. We interfaced with and used MySQL as our underlying structured database. I, specifically, was the team lead for developing developing the Data Acquisition tool (a wizard based tool for crawling the web, structured databases and file systems and indexing the data) and the Teamwork tool (A Comparison of Alternate Thesis collaborative intelligence application). Finally I was the lead architect for the development of a Counter Drug Database used to store seizure information. In the development of this system, I introduced the company to Agile development (SCRUM), TDD using JUnit, Continuous Integration using ANT, CVS/SVN & Cruise Control. We began automating software development using Velocity templates, annotations to expose web services and aspects for code insertion. All utilizing the Spring Framework. Further development was performed against the database (MySQL) using hibernate to automate the data access and storage layer.
