- Chief Engineer on the 80+ team member Systems Integration contract for the Interagency Program Office between the VA and DoD. - Provided Architectural Leadership for creating the technical solution to the Systems Integration iEHR contract, working with Architects, Information Engineering, Systems Engineering and Software Development SMEs to ensure successful technology implementation and compliance with enterprise architecture standards. - Designed and procured the communications infrastructure for our largely remote team, based on Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Hipchat. - Designed and oversaw the implementation of our internal software development and test virtual infrastructure. - Architected an enterprise services based approach to providing Data Services (Based on COTS Federation and ESB technologies) for accessing and displaying DoD and VA health information from VistA, CHCS, Essentris, AHLTA, CHDR, BHIE, TMDS, JLV using IT Medical industry best practices to include OMG RLUS (Read Locate Update Service), CTS (Clinical Terminology Services), HL7 v2 and HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource standard (FHIR) and IHE profiles. - Led an integration team to build an enterprise services based approach to provide Clinical Terminology Services for normalizing DoD and VA medical data to national standards such as Loinc, RxNorm, SNOMED-CT and CVX, using IT Medical industry best practices and standards from OMG and HL7, such as CTS 2.0. - Led a technical team to architect and build an enterprise services based approach to provide SOA services across an enterprise, in multiple locations, across multiple government network boundaries using IBM SOA offerings, Forgerock based AuthN/AuthZ and Layer 7 service protection devices. - Led an integration team to define and build an enterprise services using state of the art software development and SQA/SCQC tools, such as Spring STS, Jenkins, Sonar, Fortify, Weblayers, Ansible, Weblayers, Clover, Git.
