Industry internship within the Gastroenterology Unit of the Princess Alexandria Hospital enabled me to put my learnings into practice in both a clinical and non-clinical environment:- Throughout my tenure within the unit I conducted high level quantitative and qualitative analysis of National Cancer Screening Program adherence in a variety of workplace settings, resulting in a substantial literature review and case study report. This then influenced the creation of a program logic and workplace assessment model that assessed the efficacy of both National Cancer Screening Programs in the workplace and the modality in which they would be best suited. - in stakeholder engagement regarding National Bowel Cancer Screening Program adherence. This included, but was not limited to culturally and linguistically diverse peoples, local community advocates and senior medical officers.-Distribution of Bowel Cancer Screening promotional materials to two seperate clinical locations in the Metro South Hospital region.- Day to day office and admin duties

Within this role I was a part of a multidisciplinary teaching and student team whose aim was to break down the communication barrier between staff and student. In this role I engaged with peers to build positive working relationships with university staff in order to achieve better outcomes for current and future students: - Participation in faculty meetings- Advisory on the evolving Covid-19 environment at UQ and the transition to online learning. - Preparation of student surveys regarding teaching expectations, standards and support during Covid-19 that influenced modalities of online teaching and communication methods.- Student voice for admiration and dissatisfaction
