Risk Management:- Monitor exposure to the organization related to project performance, health and safety, quality, and IT. Report findings to the President/CEO. - Work closely with the COO and respective Service Line VP to assess project proposals based on risk and profitability.- Monitor project delivery from start through completion, conducting regular reviews for projects deemed “at-risk.”- Work alongside the COO, Service Line VP, and Business Unit Managers to address and resolve project issues as they emerge.- Conduct due diligence for potential business acquisitions. Provide support during integrations if the acquisitions proceed.- Manage the procurement of all lines of insurance, acting as the intermediary between our company, our insurance broker, and our insurance carrier. Additionally, oversee all insurance claim-related matters.Health and Safety:- Work closely with the Corporate Health & Safety Manager (CHSM) to implement and manage the Company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).- Verify that all projects have appropriate Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) in place, tailored to the specific work being performed.- Ensure that all employees receive the necessary training, possess appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and have access to the required equipment for performing their jobs safely.- Foster a culture of zero injuries within the organization.- Regularly monitor Health and Safety metrics, including EMR (Experience Modification Rate), DART (Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred), and TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate).IT:- Oversee all aspects of corporate information technology activities including cybersecurity, network administration, Microsoft 365 administration, website design, programming, hardware/software procurement, device management, and helpdesk support.

- Offer risk management insights to guide decision-making on organizational matters. Evaluate joint ventures, acquisitions, business lines, or projects that pose risks to the company.- Participate in the development of the company’s strategic plans and programs.- Develop and oversee the Company’s project management training program.- Plan, develop, enhance, and enforce policies and procedures aimed at managing and mitigating risks associated with quality and project performance, including financial performance.- Perform on-site visits to assess health and safety compliance and project execution.- Manage issues related to our Corporate Health and Safety Program, quality, risk, and insurance.

- Manage a group of engineering professionals who provide technical and operational support throughout Alliant Energy’s Wisconsin natural gas service territory. Responsibilities include budgeting, resource management, hiring, performance management, salary administration, leadership, and coaching.- Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to Gas Engineering staff and branch-office field engineering technicians.- Develop the annual capital budget and associated work plan. Prioritize capital expenditures based on gas distribution system condition, regulatory requirements, and performance. - Oversee the scoping, engineering, and budgeting of capital improvement and expansion projects, totaling over $25 million annually.- Provide engineering, project development, and project management support for large-scale natural gas expansion and replacement projects (individual projects ranged from $10 million to $30 million+).- Develop, maintain, and interpret gas operating work practices, standards, and maintenance plans in accordance with the Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and associated state regulations.- Assist with evaluating, testing, and preparing specifications for gas materials, tools, and equipment. Investigate material, tool, and equipment failures and identify corrective actions.- Support the preparation of regulatory applications and respond to regulatory audits and inquiries.

Project Management:- Oversee large capital improvements related to the construction of natural gas gate and regulation stations, large diameter valve assemblies, and high-pressure pipeline segments. - Support project scoping, engineering design, permitting, construction cost estimating, construction management, start-up, and job close-out.- Ensure that all projects comply with environmental, local, state, and Federal regulatory requirements.- Coordinate contractors, gas operations supervisors, gas control, and internal service technicians to ensure safety and minimize potential outages during construction. - Ensure that all necessary internal and external stakeholders are informed of the work taking place and why it must be completed.- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.- Maintain facility records to support integrity management initiatives and provide ongoing system monitoring for operations, maintenance, and future planning.Operations:- Develop bid packages to facilitate the execution of maintenance programs Company wide.- Implement and manage labor contracts for the inspection and maintenance of natural gas distribution facilities including mains, service lines, meters, system valves, vaults, and regulation stations. - Support the in-line inspection of critical high-pressure pipelines.- Develop budgets, monitor progress, and control spending for government-regulated O&M activities.- Research, develop, and implement new technologies to enhance the efficiency of existing business processes within Gas System Operations and Gas Field Operations.- Provide training and support to management, supervisors, and field personnel on Company policies and procedures.

- Consult with internal customers to assess manufacturing issues and develop project scope.- Develop designs and specifications for plumbing, process piping, and fire protection systems. Ensure engineering designs comply with NFPA, FM Global, and EH&S policies. - Lead multi-discipline engineering design efforts, bid package development, procurement, and construction. - Develop cost estimates to support capital planning and project budgeting. - Review contractor bids to ensure project costs are reasonable and scope is accounted for.- Conduct due diligence assessments for greenfield construction sites and facility acquisitions. - Provide support for Kohler manufacturing facility construction and renovations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, and India.- Perform ongoing and final project reviews to ensure scope and quality is met. Monitor project costs and schedules against budget and timing commitments.
