Co-sponsored by The Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, WI.Designed and implemented the research study which used fMRI to investigate differences between neurologically intact and spinal cord injured subjects. Designed an MRI compatible ankle actuator including control hardware / software (LabVIEW) for human use data collection. Performed data processing and statistical analysis (MATLAB, AFNI/SUMA, FreeSurfer, C). Managed three other researchers in aspects of the project.Project: Segmentation of spinal MRI. Designed and implemented the research study which involved the development and implementation of a technique to reproducibly segment the spinal cord from MRI scans. Resulted in reproducible 3D reconstructions of spinal cord and automated diagnosis of level of injury using mathematical morphology and other image processing methods. -
