Company Director responsible for client liaison, product design and project management for the following:Theme park/visitor attractionsSeasonal displayRetail, events & promotionalHands-on skills and experience in all departments across the board, with specialist knowledge and experience of designing animatronic figures and rides.Acting as the first point of call for the client, leading initial discussions, undertaking site visits and costing the project. Developing the client’s ideas or designing a themed solution to fulfil their brief. From initial sketches to be passed on to the build and installation team, to design engineering – how a ride will look sound and work.Supervising technical managers, creative directors, engineering managers, artisans, architects and other team members needed to complete a project.Other responsibilities include business development, account management, product design and development, sales and marketing strategies, financial planning and people management. • Client liaison.• Design & Production of animatronic figures, animation. • Design and build full animatronic shows.• Prototype and Product Design. • Concept design.• Engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics, servo and motorised automation.• Complete Dark Ride design and manufacture full turnkey operation.• Theme building.• Internal & external architectural design of themed buildings.• Sculpting & molding including clay, wax, GRP, silicon, latex, polymers, resins & polyurethanes.• Poly-carving and CNC cutting.• Polyurethane coatings and specialised paint finishes.• Joinery and scene building.• Lighting, sound and special effects.• Electronic control systems for all types of automation, animatronics, show control and dark ride systems.• 4D theatre control systems and installation of 4D Equipment.

In September 2012 KD Decoratives Ltd set up a specialist division called KD Theming Technologies. This new division focuses solely on Theming continuing the specialised work carried out for KD Decoratives Ltd.

Started own company designing and building animated and animatronic characters.Working closely with large retail stores to develop animatronic figures and scenes for Christmas window displays and Christmas grottos. Clients included major retailers such as Harrods, Selfridges, Debenhams, Rackhams and House of Fraser.The success of the company led to it being amalgamated into KD Decoratives.
