Looking through my resume you'll notice that the only consistent thing I've done over my career to date is create change by working with people.Underlying everything I do are theories & philosophies from experiential education - which boils down to learning in life experiences. Experiential education is 'learning that comes from doing'. I was introduced to experiential education when I transferred to a small mountain town college - Western State College (now named Western State Colorado University) - and met Barb Klingman, She taught the 'Intro to Experiential Education' class and I was immediately captivated.Through my career I've focused on teaching & learning and I've found many positions that offer these opportunities. Even when outside the realm of 'outdoor education' - for example while installing garage doors first in 2006 (another story in itself) and again in present day.Ultimately what drives me is the knowing that connection and relationships with our communities, loved ones, natural environment, and we could go on and on, comes down to how we build relationships. And the ultimate relationship building we do first begins with us.Hence life's ability to educate.I facilitate growth in people and organizations. And I believe when we set up & actively seek 'win, win, win' situations we will always find them and they always create winning scenarios. I set collective organizational goals with teams and build to meet each goal in time. And in Kooler Painting & Doors, I am learning the art of 'start up' to maintenance for new organizations.I am truly blessed with the incredible people I meet in this world.
