I began a transition from the labor market to a professional career in 2004. Since that time I have mainly concentrated on my education, only working part-time jobs when available. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 2008, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 2013, and A Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama. I taught Introduction to Public Administration, American Politics, Polital Theory, and Political Science Research Methods at UA. I currently teach Social Science and History at Shades Valley High School in Irondale, Alabama. My research interests include independent agencies, elections administration, and representative institutions. My current research projects include the effect of polling place quality and location on voter turnout, democratic representation, and intersectionality.
