I have developed a wide-ranging set of skills and experience having worked in legal services, hospitality, sport, education and civil society organisations. After finding an interest in researching the intricacies and complexities of international and national drug and harm reduction policies, I have now moved into working in the legal sector working for CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives). In my time at CILEX, I have overseen the development and implementation of knowledge management systems, environment/horizon scanning tools and automations that allow for greater collaboration among CILEX staff. I have also introduced more accurate data analysis and tracking systems that have provided CILEX with greater insights into its 20,000 members, the legal services market and stakeholders we work with. I have also been able to continue my work carrying out policy research and analysis, helping the Policy & Public Affairs team to engage with stakeholders via consultation responses and briefings.
