Lead multi-disciplinary feature team driving the design and implementation of net-new user management capabilities for Microsoft’s new $55M/year volume licensing initiative, Next Generation Volume Licensing (NGVL). Author business requirements based on reviews with global community of business stakeholders, approve design, manage change requests, review and prioritize found bugs, and ensure quality in release during user acceptance testing.- Microsoft Academy for College Hires IT (MACH IT) Program Graduate- Learned NGVL user management processes and capabilities after only one month, and was promoted to user management team lead.- Learned and presented NGVL user management capabilities live demo to NGVL leadership and extended team, providing broad visibility to previously unknown processes.- Assessed upcoming proof-of-concept functionality planned to dramatically increase system capability, providing NGVL leadership with a post-implementation impact assessment.- Drove one of 3 cooperating multi-disciplinary teams to successfully delivery three new Office 365 commercial volume licensing offerings, removing cloud-transition blockers and increasing Microsoft commercial revenue.- Coordinated the successful delivery of a volume licensing system sales location onboarding project allowing Microsoft systems to process commercial orders and revenue for two new markets.

Designed, implemented, and executed prototype database and web service test cases and scenarios for the Microsoft Volume Licensing Partner Order Entry Tool (POET).- Designed and implemented prototype tests driving total system code coverage to over 93% utilizing previously untested testing frameworks.- Designed and developed a prototype logging web service for POET. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive and led to full-scale implementation.Analyzed new team project management practices and drove agile methodology restructuring including work item migration, sprint implementation, and scrum leadership. - Developed new reporting framework for anti-malware data that delineated scheduled-scan hits from real-time-protection hits, allowing for better threat intelligence for over 1.7 million data points.- Designed and implemented new reporting templates to enable greater visibility into project status, significantly improving predictability around project delivery.- Promoted after 1 year at the company.

This research was conducted in order to develop a component for a new prototype hybrid network system, the Hybrid Network Traffic Engineering Software (HNTES) system. I designed and developed a reverse IP-lookup component for this system that read in the output of another component, in the form of a file containing the IP addresses of the computers sending/receiving flows on the ESnet network, and looked up the organization that owned each of these IP addresses as well as the country they were located in. The software then populated a MySQL database with the information obtained for each IP address which was then used by another component of the HNTES system.
